Query Language
The text search engine allows queries to be
formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and
NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:
- digital camera
- finds documents containing 'digital' or
'camera'
- digital
or camera
- same as above
- digital
and camera
- finds documents containing both
'digital' and 'camera'
- digital
not camera
- finds documents containing 'digital' but
not 'camera'
- (digital not camera) and
printer
- finds documents containing 'printer', plus
'digital' but not 'camera'
- web*
- finds documents containing words starting
with 'web'
